The Sozina tunnel served 2.68 million vehicles since the beginning of the year
, NewsBetween October 26 and November 1, 56,090 vehicles, mostly cars, passed through the Sozina tunnel.
According to data from the website of Monteputa, which manages Sozina, since the beginning of this year, the tunnel has served almost 2.68 million vehicles.
In the entire last year, 2.6 million vehicles passed through the tunnel, in 2020, 1.95 million, in 2019, 2.83 million, and in 2018, 2.82 million.
The Sozina tunnel was opened in July 2005. Its construction cost about 74 million EUR, of which 50 million was provided by Montenegro, while 24 million was provided by a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB).
The Sozina tunnel is 4.19 thousand meters long and connects the coastal region with the central part of Montenegro, local media reports.
