Ibrahimović met today with representatives of the Port of Bar, Montecargo, Railway Infrastructure (ŽICG) and the MSC company, in order to discuss the topic of valorization of the transit potential

The Ministry of Capital Investments, in cooperation with relevant business entities, will strongly support the initiative, which ultimately aims at better positioning of the port of Bar, bearing in mind the capacities and potentials that it undoubtedly possesses, announced the relevant minister, Ervin Ibrahimović.

Today, Ibrahimović met with representatives of the Port of Bar, Montecargo, Railway Infrastructure (ŽICG) and the MSC company, in order to discuss the topic of valorization of the transit potential and the development of multimodal transport in Montenegro.

– It was agreed to intensify the work of the Coordination Board at the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) with the aim of monitoring, analyzing and improving operations in logistics activities that take place through Montenegro, creating conditions for the full and efficient development of the potential of the Port of Bar and related systems, and cooperation with the competent state authorities, institutions and chamber and other associations and associations in the country and abroad, it is stated in the announcement.

The meeting was also attended by State Secretary in the Ministry of Capital Investments Miloš Rajović , Director General for Maritime Traffic, Navigation Safety, Pollution Protection and Maritime Economy Maja Mijušković and Head of the Railway Infrastructure Directorate Milan Banković .

– It was also proposed to initiate a regional conference, which would bring together all relevant factors from the environment, with the aim of attracting goods flows through Montenegro and establishing stronger cooperation in this field with neighboring countries, the statement added.

The interlocutors agreed that in order to adequately develop the port of Bar, as a logistics direction, it is necessary to continue work on capital projects in the hinterland of the port, such as the continuation of the reconstruction of the railway infrastructure and the construction of the Bar-Boljare highway, Dan writes.
