, NewsAccording to Monstat’s preliminary data, Montenegro’s foreign trade in goods in the first three months amounted to EUR 1.03 billion, which is 21.8% more than in the same period last year.
It was announced from Monstat that exported goods were worth EUR 215.3 million, which is 8.2 percent more compared to the comparative period. Imports were 26 percent higher and amounted to EUR 818.8 million.
The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 26.3% and is lower compared to the same period of the previous year when it amounted to 30.6% – it is stated in the announcement. In the structure of exports, mineral fuels and lubricants are the most represented in the amount of EUR 130.7 million, which are made up of electricity with EUR 126.2 million.
In the structure of imports, machines and transport devices are the most represented in the amount of EUR 194.5 million, which are made up of road vehicles with EUR 64.9 million and others.
The largest foreign trade partners in exports were Serbia with EUR 50.5 million, Slovenia EUR 37.8 million and Bosnia and Herzegovina EUR 35 million.
The largest foreign trade partners in imports were Serbia with EUR 132.2 million, China EUR 100.8 million and Germany EUR 76.5 million.
Foreign trade was the largest with the signatories of the Central European Free Trade Area (CEFTA) and with the European Union (EU).
