The American trade mission is visiting Montenegro
, NewsThe American trade mission for information and communication technologies (ICT) and clean technologies will be in Montenegro on Thursday and Friday.
The Embassy of the United States of America (US), together with the US Department of Commerce, will host the mission led by US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Europe and Eurasia David De Falco.
– The ICT and clean technology trade mission is the first US government trade mission in the region in the last 20 years and the first in Montenegro. The mission is focused on two strategically important sectors for Montenegro, ICT and clean technologies, and the delegation consists of representatives of 22 American companies – according to the announcement of the US Embassy.
Representatives of American companies will meet with high-ranking officials of Montenegro, including the president, prime minister and ministers of capital investments, economic development, public administration and finance.
– Members of the delegation will also meet with key companies from the public and private sectors, as well as representatives of the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro (AmCham) – the statement added.
The Embassy, in cooperation with PKCG and AmCham, will organize business meetings of representatives of member companies of the US trade mission and Montenegrin companies, in order to identify business opportunities in Montenegro and the wider region.
– One of the priorities of the US Embassy is to help create a broadly prosperous and economically resilient Montenegro that creates business opportunities for American companies. The embassy does this by promoting trade and investment, ensuring fair trade practices, improving the business environment and removing obstacles for investors and entrepreneurs – the announcement states.
This trade mission, which is a direct result of the American-Montenegro economic dialogue launched in September last year, will serve as a key step in the further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, local media reports.
