Smart development in Tivat and the call for Montenegro’s return to progress
, NewsTivat is an example of smart development and investment policy, and Montenegro urgently needs to return to a path of development, said the president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković.
Speaking at a rally in Tivat, Živković pointed out how citizens remember what Tivat used to look like compared to how it looks today.
“Through smart state policy, the perspective of this place has completely changed, and that is why Tivat is now a city with one of the best living standards in Montenegro. This is the result of our policy,” Živković stated.
He questioned what could be seen from the political opposition to the DPS over the past five years.
“The displacement of investors and the destruction of Montenegro’s development opportunities. Not only did they fail to start any projects, but they also stopped all the ones our government initiated. That is why we must send them into opposition as soon as possible, because every day they remain in power is a day of decay and stagnation for Montenegro,” Živković emphasized.
He added that this process began in Budva and will continue in other parts of Montenegro.
“I have no doubt that after the next local elections, we will be part of the government in Tivat again. Enough of this arrogant attitude toward citizens and the state; it’s time for Montenegro to move forward,” Živković concluded.
DPS Vice President Aleksandra Vuković-Kuč explained that the party’s program consists of ten points, covering all areas of social activity, as comprehensive reforms are essential for the future of Montenegro.
She highlighted that particular emphasis would be placed on defending national dignity, the economy, and the security sector, given that these areas have experienced the most significant setbacks.
