Number of flights from Belgrade to Tivat will be increased during Mimosa Festival
, NewsHerceg Novi – The Secretariat for Tourism, Economic Development and Investments of the Municipality of Herceg Novi agreed with the Montenegrin national airline to organize a larger number of flights from Belgrade to Tivat during the Mimosa Festival.
The sales director of Air Montenegro, Dejan Pižurica, announced that the dates of the additional flights will be announced in the middle of the month.
The Secretary for Tourism, Economic Development and Investments, Nenad Vitomirović, explained that the additional flights during the Mimosa Festival will enable better occupancy of accommodation capacities and increase the number of tourists during February and March.
“We expect a significantly larger number of guests from Serbia, because the Mimosa Festival starts on February 17, and during that period there are also holidays in Serbia. The program was innovated compared to previous years and designed to offer interesting content for all tastes and generations. We hope for a successful agreement with the agencies from Banja Luka,” Vitomirović said.
He added that the goal Is not only a better visit during the Mimosa Festival, because after that the Easter holidays and May Day follow.
“Herceg Novi must be more visible and competitive on the tourist market of the region and Europe in general.” This will also be the beginning of promotional activities for the next summer tourist season”, announced Vitomirović.
The Secretariat for Tourism, Economic Development and Investments of the Municipality of Herceg Novi will, at the following meeting with all interested tourist agencies from Banja Luka, consider the possibility of introducing charter flights from that part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, local media reported.
