Montenegro, Uniprom company plans to open a new factory in Podgorica
, NewsThe company Uniprom announced the opening of a new factory for the production of aluminum wire within the aluminum plant in Podgorica. The investment is worth EUR 15 million, and the contract for the purchase of the plant was signed with the European, well-known Italian company Pansoinco from Milan.
As announced by the company, the capacity of this factory is 30,000 tons per year, and that is propersi aluminum wire with a diameter of 9.5 mm, which is mainly used for cables and for the needs of the automotive industry, as well as wire with a diameter of 12 mm, which is used in ironworks for deox.
– The new factory will employ approximately 70 people, the planned deadline for the completion of the works is the first half of 2024, and the investment is worth EUR 15 million – it is stated in the announcement, reports the Mina agency.
The company Uniprom points out that the once black smoke has been completely eliminated, and that KAP operates in accordance with the highest environmental standards. This factory, like the two already existing ones, will work using LNG (liquefied natural gas), while respecting all environmental protection parameters.
– Aware that production diversification is necessary for the further development of the industry, as we promised, we continue with the opening of industrial plants. The corona pandemic has shown the best that we cannot base economic development only on tourism, but the development of industry is crucial for the economy – the announcement reads.
They remind that the company Uniprom is on the white list of taxpayers, and from the existing factories within the KAP, EUR 180 million was exported last year. With the realization of this project, the planned export is up to EUR 350 million per year.
