Montenegro, Prime Minister: We will work on improving the infrastructure
, NewsMontenegro and Kolašin are becoming a prestigious place for winter tourism, said Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, saying that in the coming period they will work on improving the infrastructure.
Today, together with the Minister of Economic Development and Tourism, Goran Đurović, he toured the Kolašin 1600 ski resort, stating that “we are witnessing something that we have been longing for for a long time”.
“The ski resort in Kolašin is full of skiers and tourists. The message from Montenegro is that not only is the winter tourist season successful, but also records were broken on Saturday and everything that happened in the previous seven days, and we hope that this will continue continuously, shows that Montenegro and Kolašin are becoming a prestigious place for winter tourism”, said Abazović.
He apologized to the citizens who had difficulty getting to the ski resort due to the infrastructure, which, as he stated, has been the same for the last 30 years.
“We will work on improving the infrastructure.” I hope that we welcome the next season with a tunnel that will connect Andrijevica and Berane, which will enable a part of the traffic flow to be easier. Everything works flawlessly, there are people from all over and I believe that Kolašin and Montenegro have nothing but reason to be happy,” Abazović believes.
He announced that the Government remains fully committed to welcoming the next winter season in even better conditions.
“The general impression from the ski resort is that Montenegro is getting its own Davos. “Kolašin is the Davos of Montenegro and a better place than Davos,” claims Abazović.
Đurović said that in the coming period they will do everything to improve the infrastructure.
“We will try to have a new garage and even more catering facilities ready for next year.” We are very close to rivaling the region – Jahorina, Kopaonik. I think we will overtake them very quickly, and what we are striving for is that this is not a regional, but a European, world ski resort,” concluded Đurović
