Montenegro, interest in renewable energy sources is increasing, the proof is the planned construction of two solar power plants
, NewsMore and more investors are interested in the construction of energy facilities for the production of electricity from renewable sources, as evidenced by the information that the construction of two solar power plants is planned, one in Šavnik and the other in Cetinje.
Namely, the Sunrise Europe company from Kotor plans to build a solar power plant in Šavnik, in the cadastral municipalities of Dubrovsko and Duža, and urban planning and technical conditions have been issued for the preparation of technical documentation.

Is that the maximum possible capacity of the future solar power plant is approximately 220 MW (alternating current).
The Government announced that the urban planning and technical conditions were issued at the request of lawyer Miloš Komnenić from the Komnenić & Associates law office, the authorized representative of Sunrise Europe from Kotor.
Also, the construction of a solar power plant in Cetinje, in KO Prediš, is planned, and the urban planning technical conditions have been issued at the request of the company Renewable Energy Sources from Podgorica. This can be seen in the UTU proposal published by the Government as part of the materials that were submitted not to be discussed.
The total area of the site where the construction of the energy facility is planned is approximately 440 ha.
According to previously conducted analyzes conducted by the applicant, it was determined that the potential amount of energy produced is 306.20 GWh per year, while the maximum possible capacity of the future solar power plant with a total installed power of 225 MW, local media reports.
