Montenegro featured on UK’s this morning: A glimpse into Kotor’s beauty and culture
, NewsOn August 6, the British television program This Morning featured a live segment from Kotor, organized by the National Tourism Organization (NTO) and the local Tourism Organization (TO) of Kotor.
The show’s hosts highlighted Montenegro’s recent recognition as one of the world’s most beautiful destinations and its growing reputation as a top European tourist spot. They praised Montenegro as “The Pearl of the Balkans, deserving the title of Europe’s hit destination this summer.”
The segment presented breathtaking views of the Bay of Kotor and Kotor’s Old Town to millions of viewers in the UK and across Europe. It also included an interview with Marko Kus, Executive Director of Kotor Cable Car.
In response to renowned chef John Torode’s question about why people visit Kotor, Kus highlighted the area’s rich cultural heritage and stunning natural beauty.
“A century ago, there was an old Austro-Hungarian cable car connecting Kotor and Cetinje. Our vision has revived this historic connection between Kotor and the royal capital of Cetinje,” Kus explained.
Viewers enjoyed a virtual tour of Kotor’s Old Town and a live cooking demonstration from a well-known restaurant, where John Torode prepared a meal featuring local seafood and delicacies.
“Crystal-clear waters, sunny weather, rich cultural heritage, and superb cuisine – Montenegro has truly impressed. I’ll let you enjoy the view,” Torode remarked, underscoring the country’s remarkable attractions.
The hosts concluded the program by inviting viewers to explore Montenegro, highlighting the excellent value for money across all aspects of its tourism offerings.
