Kotor Port hosts over 1,000 vessels and 400,000 passengers this year
, NewsFilip Radulović, Montenegro’s Minister of Maritime Affairs, has announced that Kotor Port has hosted over 1,000 ships and yachts this year, bringing close to 400,000 passengers to the country.
Radulović emphasized that these impressive numbers underscore the significance of maritime connections for both the economy and tourism sector. The successful maritime season highlights Montenegro’s Adriatic coast as an attractive and well-equipped destination, ready to meet the growing interest from maritime companies.
“This level of activity reflects a rising interest from tourists in our destination and reaffirms its appeal on the international stage. Our stunning coastline, with its clean beaches and azure waters, has left a lasting impression on visitors,” Radulović stated.
Since the start of the year, Kotor Port has accommodated 311 passenger ships and 752 yachts, with a total of 391,800 registered passengers arriving in the city.
Radulović expressed confidence that the trend will continue, provided favorable weather conditions.
“We anticipate that this positive trend will extend into the post-season, which promises to be successful. It is crucial to manage Montenegro’s coast thoughtfully to ensure sustainable development, preserving the natural beauty of our shores while delivering economic benefits to coastal communities,” Radulović concluded.
