Higher consumption of oil derivatives

The total final consumption of oil derivatives in Montenegro last year was 408.2 thousand tons and was 23.6 percent higher than in 2020, Monstat announced.

“In other sectors, 15.2 thousand tons were consumed, while non-energy consumption amounted to 32.5 thousand tons”, the announcement states.
In the total final consumption of oil derivatives last year, traffic participated with 72.7 percent, industry 15.6 percent, other sectors 3.7 percent, while the participation of non-energy consumption amounted to eight percent.
The import of oil derivatives in Montenegro last year amounted to 420.9 thousand tons, local media reports.
