CEDIS and University of Montenegro’s Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology sign €6,000 donation agreement
, NewsCEDIS, the Montenegrin power distribution system, has donated €6,000 to the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology (MTF) at the University of Montenegro for the acquisition of laboratory and ICT equipment. The donation agreement was signed by CEDIS Executive Director Vladimir Ivanović and MTF Dean Prof. Dr. Veselinka Grudić.
Ivanović highlighted that this donation is part of CEDIS’s ongoing support for MTF, a key institution for research in energy storage materials, which are crucial for the development of renewable energy sources, particularly solar power.
“This donation follows our previous agreement, which focused on modern technologies for energy storage, environmental protection, and waste management. This year, we decided to support the faculty with this donation to enhance their laboratory and ICT capabilities. Our collaboration continues to grow as we work towards a shared goal of providing opportunities for both students and CEDIS experts to engage in projects that advance technological progress in Montenegro,” said Ivanović.
Prof. Dr. Veselinka Grudić expressed appreciation for the donation, noting that it represents a continuation of their successful partnership with CEDIS, especially in the field of environmental protection. The faculty is dedicated to improving its laboratory facilities to lead in chemical technology research and innovation.
“As global trends shift towards renewable energy, MTF is focusing on developing clean energy sources such as solar, wind, water, and biomass. This donation will help us move closer to acquiring an elemental analyzer (ECS 8020 Organic Elemental Analyzer), which will significantly enhance our research capabilities,” Grudić explained.
CEDIS is recognized for its commitment to social responsibility and investment in the education of young professionals. Both CEDIS and MTF agree on the importance of advancing energy storage technology, a field in which MTF is actively involved through its projects.
