The average electricity bill for households in Montenegro for February, excluding readings from meters in properties that are not permanently inhabited, amounted to €41.03.

“Households in Žabljak recorded the lowest average consumption at €20.56, while the highest average consumption last month was recorded in Tivat, where households used electricity worth €54.07,” said the announcement from the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG).

According to the company, 58.23% of households will receive a bill of up to €30, 14.2% will receive a bill ranging from €30 to €50, 18.66% will receive a bill between €50 and €100, while 8.91% of households have consumed electricity worth over €100.

“155,340 customers, or 38.8% of households in Montenegro, received a discount,” the statement added.

Furthermore, 15,430 households in Pljevlja, as per the decision of the Board of Directors, received a 30% discount to help reduce air pollutants, considering the importance of the coal mines (RUP) and the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant (TE) for the energy stability of Montenegro.

An additional 6.4% discount on network services has been granted to all households connected to the EPCG distribution network, regardless of their debt, to offset the increase in network service prices, the statement mentioned.

In February, households consumed 147.43 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, which is a 10.46% decrease compared to January, but a 11.87% increase compared to February of the previous year.
