At least 300 direct flights on the Tel Aviv-Montenegro route
, NewsThe three leading Israeli airlines will fly to Montenegro from April to November this year, with at least 300 flights, announced the honorary Montenegrin consul in Israel, Nimrod Rinot.
Despite the delicate situation in Israel due to the ongoing conflict and the cancellation of direct flights from Tel Aviv to many destinations for this year’s season, Rinot, as stated by the Jewish Community of Montenegro, is pleased to announce that three leading Israeli airlines will operate flights to Montenegro from April to November, totaling at least 300 flights.
Rinot expressed hope that Air Montenegro will join other airlines and operate on the Tel Aviv-Podgorica route, as it did last year.
He noted that the previous year was record-breaking in terms of Israeli tourists, with 80,000 visitors, placing second after neighbors from Serbia in terms of visits to Montenegro during the summer period.
“Although we are facing challenging days in Israel, I am confident that this year we will witness another record-breaking season for Israeli tourists. Since tourism is the number one source of income and contributes to strengthening the economic situation in Montenegro, we have made efforts to keep tourism relevant for Israelis, regardless of the situation in the country,” said Rinot.
He added that developing tourism and promoting Montenegro as a tourist destination are of great importance.
“Israelis feel safe and comfortable in Montenegro due to the friendly environment and hospitality, which further facilitate choosing the perfect holiday destination,” Rinot concluded.
